Best Signal Strength Value On Mikrotik.

Mikrotik Routers can be use to shoot microwave signals over longer distance, To get best signal strength on mikrotik routers when use for distance, longer than 20km, most times the line of sight need to be clear.
Before any Installation is carry out it is important to carry out a site survey to be certain of the signal strength. To get the best signal strength on mikrotik, follow my step below:

login into your Mikrotik Router using winbox software.
click on interface.
click on wireless.
click on scan.

20db Best Signal Strength Value

 30 db VERY VERY GOOD signal value

 50 db very good signal value

 60 db good signal value

70 db good signal value but getting bad.

 80 db Not super but better than nothing.

 90 db Not good for multipoints connections, but two dedicated end to end routers can make it right.

 100 db not good for installation.

To confirm that your have a good signal,

click on wireless.

click on registration, to see the Tx and Rx signal and Tx and Rx Rate.
 Tx and Rx signal should maintain -70 to -30.

Tx and Rx rate should maintain 48Mbps and above depending on the consumer demand.

After scan and must have seen the other end of your device at good signal rate, click on connect and do your bandwidth test to see what the established link will be able to withstand.
