When Is The best Time To Move From Blogspot To Custom Domain
Having being in the blog-sphere for a number of years, Am thinking that sharing ideas with fellow bloggers will be a nice way to help and encourage other bloggers
One thing I must say to my friends out there, is that most of these big and famous blog out there started with blogspot.com until they were able to finance themselves and then move to a custom domain which is also tide to the blogspot account that means you do nothing without your blogspot account.
Blogspot.com is pretty a nice domain with which you can do a whole lot with, including applying for google ad networks, until recently when it’s becoming demanding for most bloggers on blogspot to move to a custom domain before getting approval for most online advertisers.
If you decide to move from blogspot to a custom domain later, like after 6 months of blogging on blogspot, for me I think is the best idea for everyone, in this case you must have finish all customisation on your blog, with some quality and authentic blog articles ready to be lunched, this does not mean you will not be advertising your blog to groups and forums. As long as your waiting for certain period of eligibility your taking your time to search for the best custom domain name, hosting companies and prices around the internet. After these period the only thing requires of you is to point your new domain to your existing blogspot account ant it will take less than three hours to propagate on the internet so that anyone who clicks on your blogspot domain will be redirected to the new domain, at this time, you might temporarily (but not certain because the URL points to the same site) loose some of your page visitors who don’t know how the internet work until a time when the
awareness is properly made to every of your blog visitor.
I hope this post will be helpful, However, if you face any confusion or have any personal question, feel free to discuss in comment or contact with me from Contact page. I will try my best to stay with you.
